About Maranu Ricardo

Maranu Ricardo currently works as a development geologist in Medco E&P Indonesia. He has 13 years of diverse experiences in the upstream of the oil and gas industry mainly in field development. He emphasizes his professional expertise to increase the company’s portfolio by generating solid integrated field studies and robust field development that are equipped with uncertainties analysis, risk mitigation and cost optimization. He is a result-oriented type of person and likes to use the effective work processes. His passion is to combine both technical and non-technical skills to achieve the company’s objectives and match to the company’s culture. He is a team player and has natural leadership to lead the team with different skills and backgrounds. Furthermore, he really enjoys sharing his experiences and knowledges to least experiences colleagues. In his professional life, he gained his experiences mainly by building numerous 3D geological model and proposing infill wells (vertical, deviated, and horizontal) both for oil and gas reservoirs of siliciclastic and carbonate rocks. He had also 4 years in Oman and involved in various field development plan studies for both primary and tertiary recoveries (steamflood projects). Maranu Ricardo holds a bachelor’s degree from Institut Teknologi Bandung (Indonesia) majoring in Geological Engineering and a master’s degree from Technische Universiteit Delft (Netherlands) majoring in Reservoir Geology. Hence, in combination with his working experiences, he has vast knowledge of oil and gas disciplines including geophysics, geology, drilling, reservoir engineering and production optimization. In addition, to support his professional communication, he speaks actively in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
