I have worked as a full time, Board Certified, Emergency Physician (and continue to do so) in a busy (>40K pt vists/yr) ED in Central California for the last 30+ years. I serve as our hospital's Pre-Hospital Base Station Medical Dir.(Since 1991), one of the ED Ass. Medical Directors, as well as the Medical Director for AMR for several Central California Counties and Medical Director for an integrated multi-agency Fire paramedic service. I have served as the Interim EMS Medical Director in several counties (CA), served a chairman of a county 911 RFP committee, as well as sit on many hospital committees, serve as a Commissioner for the County EMCC and sit on several County EMS and Mental Health committees. Helped to develop a Tactical Medicine program for local law enforcement. My experience also includes legal case review and attorney consultation.Have also served on the Board of Directors for Easter Seals of Central California, currently serve on the Board of Directors for Balance of Santa Cruz, a local agency that provides services for special need student's and their families.I will be retiring from my current clinical ED practice as of April 1, 2024. Transitioned my hospital administrative duties to the next generation. Will continue as Medical Director for AMR and Fire? new opportunities/adventures?
