About Marc Dantonio

I am an Astronomer (yes we do exist!) and I focus on public outreach in the science and looking for such a position. My astronomical focus particularly is within the discussions, findings, and discovery of Exoplanets or planets around other stars. In addition I act in my capacity as the Chief Photo and Video Analyst for the largest organization in the world that seeks answers to the ultimate question of whether we are alone in the Universe. In a watershed public outreach moment for me, I created and implemented two remote observatories, one in Connecticut and one in the Arizona desert called SkyTour LiveStream. I stream on clear nights from one of these two observatories and reach the world with Astronomy where I take viewers from all over the world on a tour of the fascinating wonders in the deep night sky that no one typically gets to see using very sensitive cameras that can capture these wonders in seconds not many minutes as is typical. One cool opportunity that my work affords me is the ability to be a science voice of reason for a number of shows on various networks. At the moment I weigh in on a number of stories on the shows "NASA's Unexplained Files" on Discovery,"What on Earth" on TLC, and currently "The Proof is Out There" on History. Additionally I was a cast member of the current (2022) Discovery+ documentary, Alien Invasion:Hudson Valley. In my day job I also run FX Models, a visual effects company that centers around creation of visual effects miniatures for the Film and TV Industry.
