About Marc Dickson

24 years in the biomedical engineering/health technology management/radiology service field. My extensive acute care hospital experience covers a broad range of medical technologies, device integration with the EMR, and leadership. As a technologist I have specialized in supporting adult/neonatal ventilation, anesthesiology, as well as branching out into ultrasound, x-ray, CR, and interventional radiology systems. I have also dedicated a few years on a special assignment to find solutions to integrate critical care monitors, vital signs monitors, ventilators, and ECG/stress devices into the EMR. These experiences combined with well-developed critical thinking skills, excellent interpersonal communication abilities, established relationships at all levels, and motivation to always improving has led me into a leadership role. I currently supervise a dedicated team of radiology service technologists who continue to strive to provide the best service possible. One thing that is certain about this field of work is that it is constantly changing and so we always need to adapt – to new technologies, cybersecurity, different service models, and the ever-increasing demand for health technology management.
