About Marc Ferguson

I have always said that I have the greatest job in the world because I get to help people every day. Clients often tell me,"We know that you care deeply for us and listen to us because we can hear the passion in your voice when we talk." I strongly believe that empathy is one's greatest skill, the ability to deeply engage and connect with another and truly understand them and how they feel. My clients inspire me daily with their life stories – their experiences, their journey. For almost 27 years, I have specialized in the more complex financial needs of a select group of high-net-worth families, healthcare executives, physicians, accountants, attorneys, nonprofits and business owners across 27 states. I feel great satisfaction serving widows and widowers because I positively impact their lives at a time of great need. Establishing expectations regarding investment fees and costs, risk tolerance of clients, and investment performance is something I have always prided myself in. I am also very proud of my team of Branch Office Administrators Alyssa Klepoch and Courtney Schultz. I tell everyone,"You can't find our level of service anywhere else." Graduating in 1986 from Lake Superior State University and 1994 from Central Michigan University, I hold both a BSBA and MBA in finance and international business. Being fifth generation in my community is very important to me. My community involvement includes having served on the NEMROC Board of Directors, Hospice of Northeast Michigan Board of Directors, Alpena Community College Board of Trustees and as a Trustee for the ACC Foundation. My wife Amy and I have been married for 37 years and have three children: Gabe, Emily and Chloe May.
