I'm a strategically-focused HR professional dedicated to enhancing value and profitability by leveraging my expertise in financial management, human capital development, and diversity, equity, and inclusion. My career seamlessly blends finance and HR, fostering a deep appreciation for decisions that harmonize business fundamentals with their impact on talent and culture. Early in my career, I was mentored by Dave Duerson, a former Chicago Bears player and Notre Dame graduate. His wisdom,"chase meaning, not money," shaped many of my career choices. Later, under Ted Bagley, a retired Amgen VP of HR, I learned about integrity, grace, and being a "firm but fair" leader at the highest corporate levels. I believe that maximizing an organization's value starts with its culture and talent. I advocate for grace, humility, and vulnerability as drivers of human potential. Leadership is pivotal for becoming an employer of choice, and a structured governance framework is key for scalability and durability. Above all, I champion leading people, valuing their worth, contributions in and out of work. What sets me apart is my "T" shaped leadership style, blending deep HR expertise (vertical) with broad business acumen (horizontal). My career has taken me through all phases of business, from large global corporations to foreign entities, private equity, nonprofits, rising stars, cash cows, and even turnarounds. I tackle multifaceted challenges, bridging talent management with business strategy, infusing culture into vision, and specializing in scalable organization design for inclusivity and employer-of-choice status. I excel in strategic planning, financial management, and human capital development to achieve organizational objectives. I possess exceptional skills in project management, coordinating cross-functional efforts for maximum productivity.
