I am the Founder and Principal Consultant at Promarc Ltd, an independent consultancy providing technical assurance and advisory support for complex procurement and delivery initiatives. I work closely with procurement, engineering, delivery, and leadership teams to bring clarity to requirements, supplier proposals, delivery approaches, governance, and risk—helping organisations make confident, well-informed decisions.Over more than 30 years, I have architected, assured, and supported the delivery of complex systems and transformations across a wide range of sectors, including fintech, utilities, manufacturing, healthcare, and construction. My background spans IT and data strategy, solution and enterprise architecture, programme and delivery governance, process improvement, and change management. I am often engaged where complexity, ambiguity, or delivery risk is high, and where independent insight is required.A core part of my work is the development and application of the Technical Assurance for Procurement (TAP) framework. TAP provides a structured, repeatable approach to applying technical assurance to live procurements and complex initiatives. It packages practical delivery experience into a clear assurance lens, helping organisations surface risk early, strengthen supplier evaluation, and improve outcomes without adding unnecessary ceremony.My approach is pragmatic, collaborative, and outcome-focused. I work comfortably across technical and non-technical audiences, translating complexity into clear, actionable insight for senior stakeholders. I value clarity over jargon, structure over opinion, and independence over advocacy.Alongside client work, I have a long-standing commitment to developing people and capability. Earlier in my career, I founded a hands-on training academy to provide practical routes into technology and delivery roles, reflecting my belief that strong outcomes depend as much on people and understanding as they do on systems and tools.Today, my focus is on helping organisations reduce delivery risk, improve decision-making, and bring structure and confidence to complex change.
