Coming from an academic background, I left the lab in favor of specialist roles that let me connect equipment, software and chemistry solutions with client life science research needs to solve problems in both industry and academia. This in turn led to team leadership roles and eventually a transition into both product and service marketing. This shift allowed me to influence product and service design while driving product positioning and differentiation efforts. Solving problems in new ways is more than just what I do; it is the core of who I am. My path includes nearly thirty years in the life science industry, with the last two decades being dedicated marketing roles in drug development services (CRO and Central Laboratories) and laboratory automation. The history I bring gives me the context to interact with clinical, therapeutic, and scientific leaders and decision makers. My Academic Background My academic foundation, including a B.A. from Johns Hopkins University and a Ph.D. in Microbiology from UC Davis, provided me with a strong scientific background. I've spent years delving into the intricacies of molecular biology, biochemistry, biophysics and immunology. However, my true passion lies at the intersection of science and creativity, where I've found a fulfilling career in marketing.
