Marc HAMY is an alumnus of Ecole Normale Supérieure (ENS) de la rue d’Ulm and a civil aviation engineer, with a post-graduate diploma from the French national school for civil aviation (ENAC) and a Master degree from the University of Paris Dauphine. He is today Special Advisor to the Chief sustainability officer and EVP communications at Airbus. He has an important background in aviation, transports, economy, environment, and politics, with many senior executive positions. He has been successively- deputy CFO of DSNA, the French air navigation services provider- General Manager of two air traffic control centres in France- Director of the civil aviation authority in the French Pacific territories- CEO of DSNA employees and a turn-over of 1 Billion Euros a year)- Chief of Staff of the French Minister for Transports- deputy Chief of Staff of the Minister for Environment, Energy, and Transports - COO of Airbus ProSky- Airbus Vice President in Charge of Air Transport and Public affairs - Chief of staff to the President of Airbus commercial aircraft - Airbus Vice President Corporate affairs- Special advisor to the Airbus CSO and EVP communications He also had international responsibilities, acting as chairman of CANSO Europe and Chairman of the air navigation services board of EUROCONTROL in the years 2008-2009. He was responsible for the relations of Airbus with Asia in 2012-2013. And he is now managing the relations of Airbus with ICAO and other international organisations, as well as with international professional associations as ICCAIA. He has been board member of companies as SOFREAVIA and METEO France. He is a founding member of the SESAR Joint undertaking, and of the EGNOS SSP, and contributed to create Airbus ProSky in 2010, three companies developing new technologies and services in aviation and space. He is holder of the Legion of Honour, of the National Order of Merit and of the Medal of aeronautics and has a licence of aircraft pilot. As from May 1st 2024 Marc Hamy was appointed Special Advisor to the Airbus Chief Sustainability officer.
