About Marc Intermaggio
Marc has led trade associations throughout his career. His executive leadership spans all aspects of organizational development. He has also initiated workforce development programs benefitting youth just entering the labor pool, and, for mid-career and seasoned professionals in the fields of commercial property management, facility engineering/operations, and environmental sustainability. Marc is currently Board Chair for Conservation Corps North Bay, which helps underserved youth achieve gainful employment via job training programs that protect the environment. He also serves as Management Trustee for the Stationary Engineers IUOE Local 39 Apprenticeship Training Trust, providing “best in class” training for public and private sector facility engineers. He also mentors youth via the Sonoma Valley Mentoring Alliance. Marc initiated the BOMA-San Francisco Foundation to expand and diversify commercial real estate's workforce. The entity is now the Commercial Real Estate Alliance for Tomorrow's Employees. Marc is Chair Emeritus of the Board of Governors of The City Club of San Francisco, and was a Governor of The City Club Foundation that provided college scholarships to high-school youth. Marc directed Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) San Francisco for nearly four decades, providing advocacy, business and professional development programs to commercial property owners, managers and service providers. He co-founded BOMA California to improve the industry’s statewide success. Prior to joining BOMA San Francisco, Marc worked in Washington, D.C. for BOMA International, where he served as Government Affairs Manager and Editor of the Association’s monthly publication. He was also Washington-area editor for Buildings Magazine, a national trade publication. Marc served on BOMA International's Executive Committee and is past president of BOMA International's Association Executives Council. He also served on the Washington, D.C. based Board of the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE); was a member of the Leadership Council of the Northern California Network of ASAE and was an officer of the Northern California Society of Association Executives. Mr. Intermaggio received a BA degree from Guilford College in Greensboro, N.C. and is an alumnus of Stanford University's Leadership Academy.
