About Marc Lichter

As an experienced production leader with a strong background in operations, project management, and lean manufacturing, I currently serve as Head of Assembly for Light Equipment and Electrical Assembly at BOMAG. I lead a team of approximately 130 employees and oversee the production of BOMAG’s walk-behind machines. In addition to our main site, I actively support and co-manage the production processes of our global subsidiaries. One of my current focus areas is the setup of a new assembly line in India, where I serve as the project lead. From 2022 to 2024, I was based in India to lead the greenfield development of a new manufacturing site for single drum rollers. As the first employee on site and sole representative of headquarters, I successfully built up a fully operational factory with over 80 employees within just two years. Between 2017 and 2022, I worked as a Lean Manager, driving continuous improvement and process optimization across the company. Prior to that, from 2015 to 2017, I led a production shop responsible for the entire manufacturing process of roller drums — from steel construction and machining to painting and final assembly — managing a team of around 65 employees. My career reflects a hands-on, people-focused leadership style, a deep understanding of industrial production, and a passion for building efficient, scalable manufacturing systems across borders.
