About Marc Loro

Mr. Loro has been a member of the Illinois State Bar Association since 1977, a member of the Sangamon County Bar Association since 1984, and is a founding member of the Government Bar Association. He served on the GBA’s Board of Directors, as chair of the Professional Activities Committee, and as President in 1991-92. He was a member of the American Bar Association’s Criminal Justice Section Committee, and served on its Drunk Driving Committee (1983-86) and its Committee on Ethical Consid-erations (1986-90). He was a member of the Sangamon County Bar Association’s By-laws Revision Committee in 1995. He has also lectured at seminars for the ISBA, the Sangamon County Bar Association, the GBA, his department, and a long running DUI Service Provider Orientation seminar produced by the University of Illinois at Springfield for the Illinois Department of Human Services, Division of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse. He is a charter member of the ISBA Committee on Government Lawyers (chair in 2003-04) and served on the committee from until 2005. He is a member of the Administrative Law Section Council (since 2001) and served as its chair in 2009-10. Currently serves as a member of the Administrative Law Section Council. He is a charter member (since 1998) of the Illinois State University Attorney Advisory Board and served as its chair from 2011-13. In 2011 and 2012, he served as the Administrative Law Judicial Fellow (2011-12) for the ABA’s National Conference of Administrative Law Judiciary, a position sponsored and funded by the ABA and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Acted as a consultant on safety, DUI and interlock issues.
