Experienced corporate lawyer and member of the board of managing directors at technology-driven company, working at the intersection of legal and business with comprehensive working experience in multinational corporations (Siemens, BMW, BT, Nokia). I have been a trusted adviser to my C-level colleagues and the executive board members of parent companies. Among others, my experience and management scope cover: • Representing a company legally und business-wise as executive board member (managing director) or authorised signatory (“Prokurist”) with full power of attorney. • Heading legal teams across Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Eastern Europe covering a full range of legal services and compliance support in close alignment with key central functions (finance, sales, HR). • Substantial knowledge in IT law and solid experience in other branches of law (privacy, corporate, labour). • Providing legal and strategic input to relevant corporate issues and projects such as restructuring, mergers & acquisitions, expansion including founding of (international) subsidiaries, reduction of headcount, creation of business/revenue models, ESG compliance – experienced in quickly getting an overview and setting the right priorities. • Translating legal specifications into hands-on, efficient and business-enabling processes, codes-of-conduct and guidelines, thereby also providing training and coaching to executives and managers. • Driving international legal initiatives such as alignment of global compliance policies (e.g. whistleblower, antitrust, anti-money laundering) with German law or creation of global compliance standards. • Assuming full responsibility for procurement, especially IT and related services, including assessment or establishing of a supplier base, negotiation of framework purchasing agreements. • Well versed in accomplishing the standard assignments of a company lawyer such as dispute resolution, drafting and negotiating of sales contracts in the international sphere aligning diverse jurisdictions, interaction with the works council etc. • Mastering critical company situations such as cash constraints and other business, financial and legal challenges. • Conducting high-profile negotiations with highest officials, representatives and C-level executives within Europe and beyond including the USA, Japan, Middle East and other overseas countries.
