About Marc Meketon

During my 28 years at Oliver Wyman, I focused on developing and implementing strategic solutions across transportation and logistics. My core areas of expertise included: Freight Rail Optimization: Spearheaded the development of MultiRail Enterprise Edition and collaborated closely with consulting teams to optimize operating plans for all major North American railways and key players in France, Germany, Italy, Sweden, Switzerland, South Africa, India, and Kazakhstan. Additionally, I contributed to critical ancillary projects such as mergers, rate cases, and Surface Transportation Board inquiries. Airline and Aviation Product Innovation: Led the creation of cutting-edge products, including an aircraft maintenance optimizer for end-of-life planning and a significantly enhanced forecasting tool for the aircraft MRO (maintenance, repair, and overhaul) business. Logistics Network Optimization: Directed the development of a suite of footprint optimization models for diverse logistics concerns. This encompassed determining optimal locations for distribution centers and depots, parcel delivery sorting hubs and regional centers, waste collection landfills and transfer stations, and specialized applications like newspaper/magazine distribution in Europe. My experience also extends to developing LTL trucking routing guides and proof-of-concept models for LNG movement.
