My previous experience listed several "thanks" to those who gave me an opportunity, and to them, I am eternally grateful. After a year of leaving that post up, I am certain that the men who helped train me in the engineering arts are aware of their contribution. My background as a Mechanical Engineer is quite varied. I am a free-range engineer, and I do not bind myself to the "we've always done it like this" mentality. It would seem that my best, and most creative solutions are when I disregard the implied conventions. Please do not take this to be careless, but consider it as a boundless approach to thinking and execution. I have 19 years in custom one-off equipment, OEM design, commissioning, installation, training and project management. Since 2003, I have operated Quantum Engineering, a company located in Valparaiso, Indiana. Our specialty is engineering consultation and design. Our focus is primarily the metals industry, but we are not limited to this particular genre of engineering. Quantum Engineering prides itself in a close-contact client relationship, and we screen our clients and potential clients to ensure that we can develop long-term relationships that are mutually beneficial. From this, we gleen opportunities to solve specific problems in equipment design, operations, quality control, metrology, and many other fields. We tell our customers, that if you can find a widget in a catalog, by all means, buy that. If not, come to us and you will get a engineered solution specific to your needs.
