Currently on sabbatical to focus on working with Governments, Enterprises and NGO’s globally to solve key cybersecurity issues- How to attack the cybersecurity poverty line? All organisations regardless of size deserve security- How to improve nation level incident response- How ro recruit more diverse cybersecurity talent while also increasing cyber literacy as early as possible- How to bring pain to Threat Actors exploiting our vulnerable- How to end the scourge of ransomware- How to ensure policy makers have the best, most up-to date intelligence so that legislation is as effective as possible? My view of how security should be managed is both a proactive one and a positive one; Security should NEVER be used solely as a blocker, but rather it should be used as an ENABLER that when managed correctly enhances systems and service reliability and increases usage by giving people a sense of trust and safety. Above all I eat, sleep and breath information security. I have strong communication skills and adapt to work at all levels within an organisation. I have given lectures on information security, and worked as advisor to several TV networks globally.I was media trained by Vodafone in order to represent the company’s interests on programs such as BBC news and have a long history working with journalists whether in print, digital or broadcast as well as analysts, both corporate and private. I have been a trusted public spokesperson for every company I have worked with in close to 20 years. Perhaps the most notable examples of my work on television, were my contribution in founding and appearing on the award winning BBC series “The Real Hustle” where I designed technical scams and appeared as their on-screen security evangelist. As well as my work USA network's Mr Robot where I helped design the hacks that made the show so different. As an ethical security researcher I have hacked a wide range of high profile devices. From TouchID on the iPhone 5s and 6 through to much larger systems such as the Tesla Model S. I have a reputation for carrying out hacks in an constructive, positive way focused on the end goal of making things more secure, not putting users or companies at risk.
