Marc Rubenstein is Legal Director – Product at DocuSign, where he leads the AI practice area for the Product Legal team. Marc provides guidance to Docusign's global Product and Engineering teams, specializing in the legal and regulatory aspects of the company’s AI products and platform, and helping to navigate complex issues at the intersection of technology, data, and innovation. Previously, Marc served as General Counsel at Backstop Solutions Group, a fintech company, where he managed all legal and compliance functions. Earlier in his career, he practiced corporate law at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP and Winston & Strawn LLP, focusing on M&A and corporate governance. Marc earned his J.D. from Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law and holds a B.A. from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. Based in Chicago, he brings a pragmatic, business-oriented approach to legal counsel in fast-paced, innovation-driven environments.
