About Marc Rullo

My objective is to provide leadership in building enjoyable experiences for users of products I believe in. A trusted partner to cross-functional teams, with a prolific record of success, I strive to deliver innovative solutions through technology. I believe in empowering individual and team engagement and potential through coaching and mentoring. Taking a wide perspective, encompassing many influences, I play the role of thought leader and change agent in the evolution of platforms and experiences. Dedication, ingenuity, courage and assuming the honor of stewardship have allowed me to accomplish the improbable. Engineering I have led the creation of tools and services to create and distribute content to web, mobile and native app experiences on every device, as well as to strategic partners and platforms. I initiated, defined and guided the technical execution of each. Once deployed to production, I led the orchestration, evolution, extension and day-to-day operation to further both, business and editorial initiatives, and the productivity and effectiveness of exceptionally hard-working and talented teams of front-end, back-end, native app, QA and systems engineers. Product & Design As a strategist and innovator, I have been a key participant in early product ideation and roadmap planning. As a uniquely qualified and informed technologist, I was a critical partner to Product and Design leaders, determining feasibility, estimating effort and informing timelines. I have been a key liaison between the Product & Technology organizations, content teams and business leadership. Program Management As a linchpin in highly productive organizations, I have been at the intersection of concept and code. I am intimately familiar with all aspects of the process by which many simultaneous projects are planned and executed. I have a superior understanding of Agile methodologies and extensive experience in resource allocation and planning, estimation and timelines, and the establishment and resetting of expectations across disciplines.
