When I started in payments, it was still mostly slinging terminals and doing rate reviews. Then, helping B2B companies shift away from physical terminals into a virtual one, or showing them the magic of payment links and payment pages, counted as digital transformation. Imagine that. So simple. The pace of change in our industry — like most — is incredible. And I love it. Payments is constantly evolving. Everything is software-led now, and while the AR problems remain the same (collections pains, cash allocation pains, dispute management pains), the technology to tackle them has never been more powerful. These days, I'm focussed on finance automation. We have amazing partners for SMBs to enterprise. AI is changing the game, and our ability to help companies across the invoice-to-cash cycle is way more fun than it sounds when I tell people what I do at parties.(OK, I usually lie and say I'm in a band). I pride myself on building lasting relationships based on expertise, trust and support, and I feel incredibly fortunate to work with so many great companies and talented partners and colleagues. When I'm not working, I can be found hanging with my two beautiful young boys, ranting about Tottenham Hotspur, or doing a half-decent impression of a 4.5 tennis player. Born in Cape Town and raised in Nottingham, England, I spent 30 wonderful years in Vancouver and now live on nearby Salt Spring Island with my lovely family where we eat a lot of kale.
