Currently, I am a Fixed Asset Accountant at Toyota Boshoku America, an interior system supplier manufacturer. In this position, I am responsible for capitalizing and providing support for 13 manufacturing plants. Managing and reconciling the fixed asset ledger. In a previous position, I was tasked with Production Reconciliation which was heavily responsible for the production and intercompany reconciliations with ensuring appropriate coding and data is captured for month-end closing. My team is responsible for an estimated 280 suppliers and 9 TBA plants in resolving outstanding amounts ensuring best business practices are used and business flow is utilized/maintained. Previously, I worked as an Account Receivable Accountant at American Financial Group, a Fortune 500 List Company. In this role am I responsible for recording, balancing, and collecting account receivables premiums. My department’s responsibility is to maintain a level of account annotation accuracy by maintaining attention to detail with excellent communication, resulting in meeting the company’s above expectations of their account receivables.Before joining the accounting team at Great American Insurance, I worked in various positions within the United States Military, The Marine Corps. During my eight years, I overcame difficult obstacles that required discipline and attention to detail for recording and notating vital information. I was fortunate enough to work and serve among sides with men and women that gave me such discipline, focus, and skills.I’m truly passionate about my work and always eager to connect with others in my profession. While I enjoy all aspects of my job, I think my favorite area is working with colleges within and outside my department to solve issues with correcting any and all accounting discrepancies.
