At Pier 1 Imports, I am the Interim Director on the leadership team responsible for the day-to-day operation of the fulfillment center and distribution center. I manage a staff of 250 associates and 9 supervisors. My responsibilities include; P&L and budget tracking, building productivity models, cultivating the Pier 1 culture, mentoring, staffing, long-term planning, supply ordering, short term planning and driving results with supervisors. Our team was heavily involved in the layout and testing of our new facility that opened 3 years ago. Unfortunately, I have also had to manage the facility shut down due to Pier 1’s bankruptcy. At Exel, I was involved with the start-up process including quality testing, stress testing, implementation of the work instruction for job functions, and set-up of the facility. I managed a staff of 60 employees. Responsible for training, KPI tracking, improvements to the work process, staffing to hit a production number, asking employees for their input for process changes and quality initiatives and training employees. WM system knowledge. At UPS, managed a staff of 150 employees and 6 part-time supervisors. Responsible for staffing, vacation scheduling, compliance training, on-the-job training, performance auditing.
