About Marcel Brix

M&A consulting is all about making money." That's how it usually sounds when outsiders talk about our industry. I see it differently. In my opinion, M&A consulting has a very clear raison d'être. The following scenario: Imagine you are an entrepreneur and you have invested your whole life time, sweat and tears in your company. It is going well, the order books are full and several hundred people and their families can live directly and indirectly from your company. Now you've come to the point where you realize that you simply can't – or don't like to – perform at the same level you used to because you've worked long enough now. But you simply don't have any successors who want to take over your company. Would you then shrug your shoulders and just give up everything, wind it up and leave your life's work to oblivion? Or wouldn't you much rather make sure that your company and especially the many employees have a secure future? 🤝 That was precisely my motivation very early on to go into M&A consulting and to support CEOs in very emotional, stressful times. Today, I look back on many years of successful transactions – and formative encounters and conversations with impressive personalities.
