About Marcel Gottschalk

I am a mechanical engineer (M.Sc.) with several years of experience in the development of undercarriage systems for wheeled and rail-road excavators in the heavy construction equipment sector. Currently, I lead an interdisciplinary team at Liebherr responsible for developing undercarriage systems for earthmoving and rail applications. My technical focus is on concept development, design, and system integration of drivetrain components and welded chassis structures in the off-highway segment. I also bring experience in applied research and university-level teaching. As a team leader, I actively promote the development of my team, support individual growth, and strengthen cross-functional collaboration. I take a generalist approach that connects technical, strategic, and organizational perspectives – analytical, structured, and solution-oriented.
