About Marcel Heeremans

I’m a passionate and energetic Head of Software Engineering with over 20 years of experience designing, building, and delivering software solutions that make a real impact. I thrive in smaller, agile teams where collaboration, experimentation, and ownership drive success.I take a hands-on approach to leadership, working closely with engineers and encouraging the use of modern tools, architectures, and practices—including NoSQL, serverless cloud-native patterns, and AI-driven automation. I enjoy helping teams explore and adopt new ideas safely and effectively, from integrating practical AI assistants into customer-facing products to using workflow tools like n8n to streamline time-consuming operational tasks. An effective communicator at all levels, from developers to executives, I turn complex technical challenges and business problems into solutions that deliver real value. My experience ranges from building private wealth applications to leading the delivery of a fully serverless, global resourcing and scheduling SaaS and mobile platform.Organized, delivery-focused, and committed to fostering an open, trusted environment, I help teams learn, share ideas, and deliver software that makes a real difference.
