Over 30 years of construction consultancy & delivery experience in strategic & day to day management of small & large scale projects. Achieved notable success as both a consultant and a contractor. Chartered Building Surveyor by background. Previously a Director at Sprunt Architects, specialising in housing, urban regeneration & education. Joined Apollo in 2006 to develop Apollo Education. Instrumental in growing business from £8million into a £50million market leader in 4 years. Founded the Education Construction Network in 2012, now a leading sector networking organisation. Launched Residential Construction Network in 2014 & Healthcare Construction Network in 2016. Runs his own successful consultancy business providing high level strategic advice. Key Achievements Heavily involved at the outset of the Decent Homes Initiative, project managing & delivering large multi-million regeneration schemes for Lewisham, Tower Hamlet & Camden. Delivered first BSF School in London, Michael Tippett, winning Best Designed School & Grand Prix at the BSF Awards. Further awards followed for next 2 schools; Park Campus (Innovation in Sport & PE) & Elm Court (Best Design for a Remodelled School). Elm Court hailed as an Exemplar on how to refurbish a historic school buildings by English Heritage. Bid & delivered 2 of the first Free Schools - Ark Conway Primary Academy & West London Free School. Advises Businesses on how to position themselves within new & existing markets to maximise growth potential. Provides an valuable insight during the pre-construction phase of a project particularly around the issue of Value Management whilst ensuring Design Quality. Advice & implementation of planned and programmed maintenance & asset management strategies. Client Advisor specialising in mixed use masterplanning schemes from small scale to £0.5billion. Detailed understanding of working on projects with students, residents & end users in occupation & issues around decanting and phasing.
