About Marcel Koppers

Marketing and communications expert with 10+ years of international experience in Finland, Namibia, Switzerland and the Netherlands. I'm an outcomes-focused, open-minded teamplayer with a passion for media. Whether it's writing an article, designing a poster, coordinating a (social media) campaign or recording a podcast, there's just something creative about marketing, communications and technology that keeps me hooked. After graduating from the Windesheim University of Applied Sciences in 2010, I have worked in different (internal and external) marketing and communications roles. I have gained experience in different local and global industries, including sports (FC Twente), public sector (Kadaster), insurance (Zurich) and chemical production (Anker Stuy). Each with its own peculiarities and requires a special approach. Besides my professional career, I have a passion for football and turned that from 2007 (until 2022) into the biggest website about sc Heerenveen and later also started a podcast called Radio Camataru. This has been a nice 'playground' for me and also helps to drive things forward professionally. Because I am now a father of two young kids, the focus has shifted and I have stopped doing this. But my passion for my field of work and football (and sports in general) will never fade!
