About Marcel Lex

Coming from a small farm in Bavaria, I realized early the effort and planning required to produce our everyday food and the importance of sustainable interactions with our nature. Hence my keen interest in biology and science, particularly in food technology and statistics. Following the farm value chain beyond processing and packaging, I have completed my Masters in Nutrition and Health Sciences. This gave me a better understanding of how important our diet is to health and performance. Athletic performance can be increased twice as much by adjusting the diet as by EPO, isn't it amazing? As I gained a better understanding of the interactions within the human body, I also realized that much is transferable to personal care for the use of natural ingredients to enhance health and well being. Regardless of what the ingredients are for, my ultimate goal as a product developer is to select and use them as carefully as possible. And convert them into something amazing, offering value to the consumer. To improve the wellbeing with a refreshing shampoo or improving performance with a protein drink. With my additional background in project management, Six Sigma and brand- and product management, I now have the tools to combine my curiosity about research with my analytical strength. As an innovation engineer, leading 4 patent applications and 1 product launch, I have already contributed to a more natural future and I look forward to growing my share with more innovations. I am always interested in chats about ideas and trends in the food and personal care market.
