Senior Scientist/PostDoc at AbbVie investigating the role of microglia and neuroinflammation in Parkinson's Disease. Former PhD Student and PostDoc in the Department of Genomics, Stem Cell Biology and Regenerative Medicine at the University of Innsbruck, Austria. My work focuses on iPSC-based disease modelling of neurodevelopmental risk mutations, as well as the establishment of a novel protocol to stabilize fetal-derived human neural progenitors in vitro. During the course of the PhD both wet lab cell culture techniques, as well as cutting edge bioinformatical techniques, such as single-cell RNA sequencing data analysis, were acquired. Master's Degree in "Molecular Cell and Developmental Biology" at the Leopold-Franzens-University Innsbruck. The Master's thesis was written at the institute for Developmental Immunology at the Medical University of Innsbruck. The work focused on the role of glucocorticoids during B cell development and function and resulted in a solid background in immunology, flow cytometry and mouse handling.
