About Marcel van Den Brink

I am a certified auditor (RA qualification) and finance professional with more than 15 years of experience across multinationals, small and medium sized entities (“SME”) and non-profit institutions. As a finance manager, I have developed my management skills over the years. My management style can be characterized as a coaching leadership style, striving to develop the skills and potential of employees by providing guidance and support. With a focus on connecting through a human approach and always open for other thoughts. Besides being responsible for managing the finance department, I also was responsible for coordinating the planning, consolidation and related audit processes. In addition, I was the first point of contact for external stakeholders, such as the tax authorities, banks and accountants. I also have experience in complex matters like acquisitions, financial software implementations, cash pool (implementation), legal restructuring, innovation box, transfer pricing and (re)financing. Through my previous roles as controller I have experience in compiling of financial forecasts, cashflow forecasts, management reports and financial statements. Both at stand-alone and consolidated level. As a financial professional, I have the experience to see the bigger picture to identify the challenges that hold back an organization or financial department. Always looking for opportunities to optimize business processes. I provide support for complex issues regarding the interpretation and implementation of (new) regulations and guidelines (such as NL-GAAP and IFRS). This includes writing position papers and conducting technical discussions with the Auditor. I’m strong in analyzing extensive and complex data and able to summarize in an understandable way. I proactively provide reports and analyses with practical advises and recommendations.
