Marcel Visser Associate Musical Supervisor Marcel is currently Musical Director of Disney's Lion King Hamburg.For Cameron Macintosh he worked as Associate Musical Supervisor of Disney's Mary Poppins in Vienna, Stuttgart and Hamburg. Marcel studied conducting, tenor and bass trombone at the Sweelinck Conservatory in Amsterdam. As Musical Director, his credits include: My fair lady (National tour), Sound of music (Belgian tour), Aida (Circus Theatre - The Hague), Evita (National Tour), Sunset Boulevard (National Tour), Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat (National Tour), Mary Poppins (Circus Theatre - The Hague), Miss Saigon (Beatrix Theatre – Utrecht), Little Mermaid (National Tour), Sister Act (Circus Theatre - The Hague), and Lion King ( Theater im Hafen, Hamburg ) As assistant Musical Director: Oliver (National Tour), Beauty and the Beast (National Tour) and Crazy for you (National Tour). Marcel is conductor of Fanfare de Eendracht, Den Ilp. With this orchestra he became open Dutch champion in 2014, 2018 and 2019. Marcel was one of the founders of L’ Orchestra Particolare, a Dutch Symphonic Orchestra, that had the honor to accompany Barbra Streisand on her last European tour (2013). He has acquired considerable experience working as a musician at the “ Koninklijk Concertgebouworkest “, the “Philarmonic Orchestra of Holland “ and the “ Opera Forum”. He is an accomplished studio musician, arranger and orchestrator.
