About Marcelis Posey

With a recent Master of Arts Degree in Defense and Strategic Studies from the U.S. Naval War College and a rich background in social work, including PhD course work from the University of Illinois at Chicago, I am currently a Blue and Gold Officer at the United States Naval Academy and a Behavioral Health Provider at the U.S. Coast Guard. My competencies lie in strategic planning, military operations, and mental health advocacy, bolstered by Six Sigma Yellow Belt training. Our team's efforts at the Naval Academy focus on identifying and nurturing future military leaders while at the U.S. Coast Guard, in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, we strive to enhance caregiver support programs. These roles embody my commitment to service and excellence, where my goal is to contribute to our nation's defense and support systems through strategic initiatives and compassionate care.
