About Marcell Sinay

I’m a development professional with 12+ years of experience across community development, energy transition, waste management, education, and child protection. I hold a Master’s in Social Welfare from Universitas Indonesia and bring a strong grounding in community systems and institutional engagement. At GIZ Indonesia, I serve as an Advisor for the CASE (Clean, Affordable and Secure Energy) project. My work focuses on project management, stakeholder partnerships, and knowledge systems—connecting government, academia, and civil society to support Indonesia’s transition toward clean energy. Before GIZ, I led multi-sector development programs at Wahana Visi Indonesia, including roles as Program Manager and Advocacy Coordinator. I’ve managed cross-functional teams, implemented policy-influencing campaigns, and supported long-term development strategies at both local and national levels. My core strengths include project coordination, stakeholder engagement, knowledge management, and monitoring & evaluation. I hold a PMD Pro certification in project management, and I continue to apply those skills to design, implement, and track impactful programs. I’m especially interested in how ESG, sustainable energy, and inclusive development intersect in real-world policy and systems. I bring a practical, detail-oriented approach to everything I do—focused on building processes that work, partnerships that last, and programs that deliver.
