Am I your new advisor? As an accomplished Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE), social entrepreneur, cultured content creator and innovative event producer - I certainly hope so! I'm Marcella Brown, currently the Vice President of Development & Communications for Lutheran Metropolitan Ministry (LMM), one of NEO's most vital advocacy and human service providers. In addition to LMM, I'm an entrepreneur. I provide strategic planning, fundraising, special events and public relations consulting through my firm, BrownStone. I believe in civic and community engagement. I currently serve on the Cleveland Bar Association Fee Dispute Committee, as Vice Chair of the moCa Cleveland Board and Co-Chair of Marketing for Bank On Cleveland. Lately I've enjoyed traveling the Midwest with the We Raise Foundation as a Board Member, impacting community and economic development through community investments. In all I do, my mission is to reimagine then enliven civic spaces that reflect the arts, social justice and equitable development, to improve the quality of life for people and communities I represent. In 2016, I was recognized by Case Western Reserve University as a Distinguished Alumna for Nonprofit Leadership and in 2017 by the Ohio Diversity Counsel with the Nonprofit Leadership Excellence Award.
