About Marcelle Vielot

In an era of growing community engagement and social change, many people, and in extension organizations, are searching for those who have a vision for a more sustainable future. Understanding that sustainability is not limited to the environment but also the holistic wellness of an entire community; it is my life's work to blend community health, resource acquisition, environmental education, and the arts into our daily lives. Based in the theoretical framework of Collective Liberation, I seek to uplift the narratives of those who are silenced in our communities while working to fill the social gaps that those who lack resources often fall through. From documenting the lived experiences of marginalized people, to challenging myself and others to understand what is not only possible, but probable; I labor to reach, teach and create through building opportunities for a better today and an even greater tomorrow.
