About Marcelo Rosas
My research focuses about the diversity and beauty of plants. I describe the diversity (taxonomy, morphology), interested in how they originated (macroevolution, niche diversification), their lineages (molecular phylogenies, comparative method), their spatial patterns (biogeography, macroecology) and very specially integrate them in human influence, conserving them actively at the same time. My research is focused on the flora of arid and mediterranean areas of the Southern Cone of America, currently in Asteraceae and Cactaceae.
