About Marcin Pilanowski

Over last 20 years I’ve been working at different officers posts. Firstly as Ship Engineer/Chief Engineer, then at Logistic Department. Mechanical devices were always my passion which I get from my grandfather. I’m well organized, conscientious, diligent and hardworking. As the most important value in work place I’m consider positive relationship between coworkers. That is guarantee of great achievements. During several years I was acquire knowledge both in Poland and abroad about main engines, ship auxiliary systems, logistic and management systems. When I was at sea I’ve never cause any major failure. I was supervising ships repairing process at Ship Yard. I have attend in negotiations with contractors. Using my SQL database and Microsoft Office knowledge I managed to create a semi-automatic process that converts data from Haystack (US NAVY logistic system) to the JIM database (uniform material index). As Head of Logistic Department at the biggest Combat Squadron in Polish Navy (over 700 people, 7 ships in 4 types) I was always tune with crew wants and needs. There was no difference how big problem was or what was its origin. I’m always focus to solve it. During my everyday routine I was responsible for wide spectrum of duties. Supply with consumables materials (from cleaning supplies through fuels to armament). Preparing exact delivery time and with appropriate transportation was another of my tasks. I was also in charge of budget planning and implementation. Those duties I’ve perform on time with full commitment. I’ve always value close cooperation between Squadron and Civilian Companies to achieve best possible results. Everything that I have professionally achieved, all death ends that I have been able go through was not only my credit but also service of my great logistic team. Now I’m looking for new horizon to discover, new challenges, to still go on.
