About Marcin Solga

I graduated from the University of Silesia with degrees in biology and chemistry, and I hold a Ph.D. in Biological Sciences with a focus on biochemistry and microbiology. My scientific expertise lies in biotechnology, including its industrial applications and microbial engineering, with additional experience in animal studies. During my doctoral research, I conducted advanced scientific work at the Research Center Borstel – Leibniz Lung Center in Germany, focusing on host–pathogen interactions and the molecular basis of infectious diseases. For over a decade, I have been working in the pharmaceutical industry, combining a strong scientific background with an MBA-level understanding of business and management. This combination enables me to effectively lead complex research and development projects as well as manufacturing processes for medicinal products. I have co-created and implemented projects involving the design and commissioning of production lines for biologically active substances, as well as sterile and non-sterile medicinal products. At Adamed Pharma, I serve as Head of the Research Department, overseeing the development of new active substances, medicinal products, innovative pharmaceutical forms, and manufacturing technologies. I lead an interdisciplinary team working across biotechnology, analytical, in vitro, and in vivo laboratories, driving innovation from early-stage research to industrial-scale application.
