About Marco Barbieri

I'm a Master of Science in Theoretical Physics at Università degli Studi di Torino with 110/110 cum laude. I have a huge passion for coding, networks, physics and hacking. I'm skilled in C++ and Python, I also got in touch with other programming languages like Latex and HTML. I also programmed with Arduino to perform hacking attacks on OT/IoT devices. I'm familiar with virtualised environments such as VirtualBox and VMware. Well experienced in Kali Linux OS. I also worked in dual booting by partitioning the computers myself. I have knowledge of network architectures and I'm familiar with concepts like iso/osi stack, network protocols, switches, hubs, routers, firewalls, VPNs, cryptography and the various types of hacking attacks. Experienced with multiple Kali Linux modules and tools for penetration testing and cyber protection implementation (such as encryption of files, usage of a secure shell (SSH) for networking connection). Furthermore I have compliance/governance knowledge concerning ISO 27001, various cybersecurity frameworks and General Data Protection Regulation. After my master's degree I attended 3 academies: 2 academies of network cybersecurity and 1 academy as Linux administrator. After the academies I worked as a research and developer at Capgemini producing 2 papers in less than a year. One paper is about a new encoding scheme I formulated for quantum communication and a potential secure quantum communication protocol. The second paper is a collection of best practices for a cyber secure quantum technology implementation. In the meanwhile I also worked at Capgemini Engineering where I founded the penetration testing team and led it to several penetration tests. Afterwards, I worked at BCS where once again I founded the penetration testing team. I accomplished the TOEFL certification when I was 17 years old and in October 2022 I accomplished the IELTS certification.
