About Marco Chilelli

Before joining Moda, Marco served as the store director for a regional grocery store chain called Valli Produce, honing his skills as a financial analyst while overseeing all facets of store operations. This included managing purchasing, advertising, employee relations, and optimizing profit margins across a diverse array of products utilizing POS software technology. Since joining Moda, Marco has leveraged his experience in the build-for-rent sector to drive significant growth for the company. Reporting directly to the CFO his key accomplishments include spearheading the development and implementation of Moda's Finance and Accounting ERP system Acumatica, establishing robust accounting policies, and leading the onboarding and training initiatives for interns, accountants, and analysts. He has also played a pivotal role in project budget forecasting and ensuring the accuracy of financial statements. Acumatica serves as the central repository for all of Moda's financial and project data, enabling Marco to closely monitor debt and equity capital expenditures, compliance documents, construction budgets and progress in support of Moda's just-in-time inventory model. Additionally, Marco has meticulously designed the workflow for project management processes, streamlining activities from budgeting and contracting to purchase orders and AIA invoicing, ultimately contributing to cost savings and efficient construction draw processing with title companies and ensuring compliance with our lenders construction monitoring inspectors. A native of the northwest suburbs of Chicago, Illinois, Marco is an alum of Loyola University Chicago Quinlan School of Business ('18) and currently resides in Arlington Heights, IL.
