About Marco Daou

After my degree in Mechanical Engineering at University of Florence in 2004, I have been working in applied research sector at the University of Florence as- scholarship winner on machine design and construction (project "Design of a nonwoven fabric production system based on spun-lace technology" at University of Florence Dept. of Mechanics and Industrial Technologies)- Ph.D. student on Agricultural Mechanics, Agricultural Machinery, Agro-food Plant (final thesis “Development of a simplified model for the design and the regulation of olive oil decanter” at University of Florence Dept. of Agriculture and Forestry Engineering)- Postdoc researcher on occupational health and safety (OHS) designing and implementating technical tools and managing procedures for OHS management systems performance improvement (at University of Florence Dept. of Industrial Engineering, former Dept. of Mechanics and Industrial Technologies). During the same period I have been independent technical adviser on environmental acoustics, industrial acoustics, building acoustics. As I won a nationwide public recruitment competition based on qualifications and examinations held by University of Florence, since July 2019 I have been embedded as Engineer in the Project Commissioning and Procurement process unit of the Building Management Department. I have always been interested in personal finance and individually operative. My mother tongues are Italian and French, I am advanced in English (B2/C1 level according to CEFR) and I have recently started studying German. My work experiences in different engineering sectors (mechanical design, agricultural mechanics, agro-food plant, acoustics, machine ad pressure equipment compliance, occupational health and safety) and personal involvement in operative finance have helped me to strengthen my individual and social soft skills.
