Full Professor and Chairman of Radiology at Sapienza University of Rome, I'm a clinical radiologist with specific research interest in the field of Cardiovascular imaging. Over the years I've presented more than 350 invited lectures and scientific abstracts at most important national and international medical conferences and authored more than 250 peer reviewed articles and book chapters.Before moving back to Sapienza, I served for five years as Chair of the Cardiovascular Imaging Unit and Director of the Radiology Residency Program at Humanitas University, following over two decades at Sapienza University, where I completed my medical training, PhD, and held the role of Associate Professor.I've been invited for visiting professorships in Zhengzou (China) Vienna (Austria) and Minsk (Belarus) and served the Italian College of Cardiac Radiology as president, the European Society of Cardiovascular Radiology as scientific chairman and the Society of Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance as member of the Executive Committee.
