About Marco Giannuzzi

In May of 2015 I obtained the master of Science in Engineering in Computer Science at the University of Rome, La Sapienza. My studies were focused on various aspects, touching multiple branches, for example Big Data, Data Mining and Web Information Retrieval, Distributed Systems or Computer Network Security. My thesis was focused on computing a parallel deductive closure for DL-Lite ontologies, adopting Map/Reduce as framework. The main task was computing a fast and optimized parallel transitive closure for a graph, with small/medium/big sizes. In 2012 I obtained the 3-years degree in Computer Engineering at the University of Rome, Roma Tre. My thesis for this degree was based on computing the indexing for RDF graphs, moreover this task was performed adopting a parallel approach with different tecniques. The main task was computing a parallel Breadth-First-Search on a graph, trying to improve high performance since the graphs were about 200 gb sized.
