I'm the Deputy Director of the Institute of Industrial Manufacturing and Management IFF at University of Stuttgart. At the same time I'm Scientific Director for Digitalization and Artificial Intelligence and Head of the Research Unit Artificial Intelligence and Machine Vision, both with Fraunhofer IPA in Stuttgart, Germany. As a full professor (W3) for cognitive production systems I manage and conduct R&D projects on artificial intelligence and machine learning in manufacturing, automation, and robotics.
