About Marco McCool

After leaving school in 2022, I enrolled as an Officer in the RAF. After many exams, both physical and mental, a grand opportunity came to me as an apprenticeship through Aviva. Although I was proud of how far I came, I knew this opportunity was too good miss and better suited my goals and aspirations. In September 2022, I joined Aviva as an Underwriting Apprentice where I quickly learned the aspects of the insurance market, as well as the skills necessary to be the best at my job. I am proud to say that I now hold an underwriting licence for Property and Liability yet develop my skills every day in order to further progress. As part of my apprenticeship, I am currently preparing for my IF1/2 exam which I plan to sit in 2023. I know that this will further strengthen my knowledge on the overall market and allow me to become a key member of my team. Finally, although not part of my apprenticeship, I plan on obtaining a NEBOSH General Certificate which will diversify my portfolio and expertise.
