Background

About Marco Roncelli

I have always been interested in the energetic and environmental themes in its different and interconnected aspects: my studies has been direct, but not monothematic. Initially formed about thermotechnic and interested in low environmental impact buildings (nZEB, PassivHaus), during high school i visited two power plants ( a waste to energy and a biomass plant). This encouraged me to continue my studies in Energy Engineering, where I have investigated the production of electric power through different energy systems, with traditional or renewable energy sources. During my Master of Science I was interested also by a series of related issues: due diligence of plants, energy market, national and European programs and strategies, legal aspects, production mix and balancing of the electrical system, sustainable mobility, etc. I have also organized some activities and trips for students: an opportunity to improve my soft skills, especially organizational ones. In the last year I attended an extra course, on Saturdays, organized in Politecnico di Milano by ANIMP/IPMA about the fundamentals of Project Management. Autonomously I'm trying to give space to other my interests, for example the digitalization of utilities (Smart City, IoT, blockchain and big data), digital/social media marketing and digital reputation. Currently I am involved, with about fifteen students, in the establishment of a national association of students and young energy professionals. The goal is to promote conferences and activities for both students and citizens, as well as to encourage and orientate the studies in the energy field.
