About Marco Sarcletti
During my work as doctoral candidate, I developed a sorbent system to remove organic contaminants from water. This system is based on superparamagnetic nanoparticles and lab studies showed excellent removal potential for crude oil as well as for micro-/nanoplastics. After graduating in July 2021, I focused my work on the transfer of the method with academic and industrial partners. During these intensive last years, I gained plenty of practical experiences. Also, with every day working in this project I realized more and more a fact we all already know, but never want to take note of - how bad we are treating our planet and how we are slowly destroying ourselves with that behaviour. It was shocking me. That is why I am passionate for sustainability and methods and processes reducing waste of resources.
