About Marcos Benevides
I'm a teacher, researcher, and author of language teaching materials; an associate professor and coordinator of the Liberal Arts English program at J. F. Oberlin University in Tokyo; and publisher of Atama-ii Books. My research and materials development interests include language teaching methods and curriculum development, particularly project- and task-based language teaching. I am currently leading a JSPS grant-funded project on inter-rater reliability in task-based assessment. My language teaching materials have received British Council ELTon awards in 2011 and 2019; an ESU Duke of Edinburgh English Book Award (2010); and three ER Foundation awards. My latest book is :(Atama-ii Books, 2024). My other publications include -(Pearson, 2008):(Abax, 2010); graded reader series (McGraw-Hill, 2012)- series (Atama-ii Books, 2014), 2 (Compass, 2018); and, 2 (Atama-ii Books, 2018).
