When I decided to move to Canada, I knew that I’d need to be open to reinventing myself. Maybe, start a new career. But why should I forget all the knowledge, experience, and good memories I had in my previous 10+ years in the Power Generation Sector. Yes, no way I’m letting that go. But I can’t be stuck in the past. What is the most valuable commodity we have nowadays? DATA. Okay, okay. I’m an engineer, I love data (especially numbers). But data alone means nothing. If we don’t visualize, interpret, and (actually) use it…it means nothing. And I love that challenge. Transform data into information. That is value! So, I decided to become a 4-fold professional- Data analyst – responsible for profiling, cleaning and transforming data - Reporting Analyst – responsible for the management of Power BI assets, including reports, dashboards, workspaces, and the underlying datasets that are used in the reports - Business Analyst - closer to the business, acting as a specialist in interpreting the data that comes from the visualization - Power/Energy Specialist – the professional capable of understanding all facets of the power/energy industry, using my 10+ years of international experience in the industry, with a focus on power generation and policy development.
