About Marcos Diaz

I'm Marcos, a principal software engineer and architect, I used to call myself fullstack, but nowdays I consider myself just a tech enthusiast. I started coding professionally around 2004, and moved to Helsinki many years ago. I've worked in all kind of projects and technologies, and since I like to have the big picture I shift naturally to an architect role while still involved in development. Lately I have been working mostly on logistics optimization, webservices architecture, and building amazing engineering teams. I'm an empathic person that likes to be part of a team and establish deep relationship with colleagues, so we deliver at the same time we enjoy. During these years I've seen some projects and companies to success, but much more important, I've seen many to fail. There is a limited amount of ways one can mess it up, and I already know lot of them! My expertise is also about foreseeing and avoiding these. I'm an enthusiastic self-taught person but I also enjoy working and learning with others. I'm proud to share about the things I love in conferences, some of them sponsored by Google, Intel, or the Python foundation.
