About Marcos Junior

I grew up in an environment where the presence of databases has always been very strong, specifically Oracle databases, as I lived together with an ATG professional who worked with EBS and is an Oracle DBA. From early on, I was interested in databases and SQL, which led me naturally into the OPS world, learning how to implement infrastructures and manage Linux environments and databases. My first contact with development came in 2017, when I accepted the challenge to develop a program in Oracle APEX. The goal was to support surf championships by storing scores, evaluator and competitor registrations, maneuvers, and rankings. This experience gave me insights into processes and projects. From that point, I quickly started exploring and gaining experience with various tools, programming languages, and solutions. Finding myself at the intersection of engineering and operations. It was a natural path to become a DevOps professional, diving into cloud, earning certifications, and developing expertise in observability, monitoring, security, and logging. Today, as Head of DevOps, I support infrastructure for provisioning microservices, generative models with VLLM, HuggingFace, LangChain, prompts, and agents. My focus is on building environments and teams ready for the speed, scale, and culture that modern AI demands with security, reliability, and continuous delivery always at the core.
